Over the past five years Punktastic.com has released compilation CDs called Un-Scene which have sold more than 5,000 copies to date. Punktastic Recordings died a death last summer but in true Phoenix from the Flames style we’re bringing Un-Scene back!
We’re teaming up with Punktastic to release Un-Scene 5 as a totally free downloadable compilation. Our aim is to put together around 40 tracks – and maybe more if the quality is there – featuring bands we love and cherish in a bid to spread the word. And for the first time we’ll be featuring bands from outside the UK too!
The compilation will be free of charge, however we will be setting up Justgiving.com pages so that people can donate cash if they like what they hear. Punktastic is supporting the Everyman charity which raises funds for research into male prostate and testicular cancer. Walnut Tree Records is supporting the work of Fairbridge, a charity working to improve the lives of disadvantaged inner city youths.
We’re looking for YOUR band or record label to be part of this free compilation. We’ve set up a special website with further details so head on over to http://www.walnuttreerecords.co.uk/punktastic for more details.
